RuneScape is bringing something completely different than the usual. It’s the arrival of CATALYST in RuneScape, the game’s very first League mode. It’s live now and will run until November 10th. It brings insane XP rates and a unique list of tasks, among other new features.
A new game mode that’s dialed up to 11!
The CATALYST League brings a series of tasks that range from the laughably simple to the absolutely brutal. On one end you might be swatting down a lone goblin, and on the other, you could find yourself surrounded by thousands of tormented demons.
Every challenge you clear earns League Points, which can unlock Relics, a type of special upgrades. Some of the Relics are brand-new, like Farming Frenzy or Golden Footed. And others return from the Old School RuneScape Leagues catalogue.
Those who climb to the top of the CATALYST HiScore chart will claim the Dragon Trophy. Everyone who takes part will walk away with a decorated Leagues Trophy. Also, you can later trade all the League Points you earn for exclusive rewards in the main game once the event wraps up.
To celebrate the launch of CATALYST, RuneScape has launched a membership offer. It lasts the duration of the event and is available to purchase for $21.99 from September 15th to September 21st.
