Supercell-Backed Looter Shooter Riftbusters Enters Limited Open Beta On Android

Riftbusters

Phantom Gamelabs, a game studio funded by Supercell, just rolled out a new looter shooter title, Riftbusters. But it isn’t a full-fledged launch; it’s a limited open beta exclusively for Android users in select regions.

For now, Riftbusters is available as an open beta in the US, Poland and Finland on Android. If that’s you, swing by the Google Play Store to grab the game and try it out. That would make you one of the first to get a crack at the alien invasion action.

What’s Riftbusters About?

Riftbusters is all about teaming up to fight some evil aliens and make sure the Earth stays off the intergalactic endangered species list. You get to take on the role of a freelance mercenary for an organisation called Safeguard.

In the game, you’re up against wave after wave of alien attackers with the fate of Earth in your hands. Knocking out these extraterrestrial intruders lets you snag some killer loot. Every win earns you some killer loot. The more alien creeps you crush, the more likely you’re to score overpowered gear.

You can also make sure your character looks the part with a bunch of awesome skins and customisation options. So, suit up, gather your crew, and jump into the fray to defend our Earth from the incoming alien menace.

Played Any Looter Shooter Yet?

If you’re new to gaming, you might be wondering what a looter shooter is. A looter shooter, sometimes just called a loot shooter, is a kind of action game where you focus on shooting enemies and grabbing gear that’s different every time you play. As you fight enemies, you get a bunch of random weapons and gear.

So, that wraps up our scoop on Riftbusters, the new game by Supercell. If you haven’t played a looter shooter yet, I reckon you give it a try. And do you keep looking for games which are on sale? Then check out The Chronos Principle, A Linelight-Style Game, Is Now Free On Android!
