Rumor has it that Rovio could be getting $1.2 billion in funding

More news today concerning ridiculous amounts of money is coming out. Rovio, developers of Angry Birds and it’s Rio and Seasons brothers, is apparently in talks with an unknown source to gain funding in the amount of $1.2 billion dollars which will help them continue to try and dominate the world.

While the company they are in talks with is remaining unannounced right now some names are being thrown around such as EA, Zygna, and Walt Disney. While EA is a bit of a stretch (Angry Birds meet The Sims?), both Zygna and Walk Disney are strong possibilities although there are certainly other companies out there who could benefit from a collaboration with Rovio. What could Rovio do with another $1.2 billion in funding? Well they can certainly pump a lot more products out aside from the flip flops, t-shirts and stuffed toys that are already available. The Angry Birds Moo Pies just became available over in China for the Moon Festival as well.

Don’t forget Rovio is planning on a cookbook featuring both the birds and pigs as well as having a TV Series and movie in the works as well. The $1.2 billion in funding could certainly help expedite those projects and a plethora of others that we are sure they have hidden away somewhere just waiting to be discovered. What do you think Rovio should spend the $1.2 billion in funding on, if they get it that is.
