Rumors stirring around online indicated a new refreshed Shield Tablet could be coming as soon as this summer. It is expected that the tablet would use NVIDIA’s newest mobile processor, the Tegra X1.
The current Shield Tablet was released late last summer and featured the most advanced Tegra mobile processor at the time of release, the Tegra K1. Tegra X1 was recently announced at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The rumored refresh would be NVIDIA’s third piece of Shield Hardware. The first of which released was the Shield Portable.
