RuneScape has added a new skilling activity called Heists and it’s officially going live today. The new activity expands the Thieving skill from level 90 to level 120. A set of infiltrations that play out in secure facilities where every guard patrol, trap placement, and fumbled pickpocket attempt matters.
You can now live out the life of a master thief!
Heists operate as solo runs that also let you witness how others navigate the same danger zones. So, you can pick up tricks by watching nearby players slip past hazards or blunder into them.
Each run relies on core Thieving abilities, from the simple act of pickpocketing to cracking open chests and safes. Instead of the usual skilling rhythm, this setup expects players to sprint, stall, double back, and improvise as situations change around them.
The latest RuneScape update introduces two separate Heists at launch. One is the Vault of Hereditas. It’s inside a sealed wing of Kharid-et and guarded by ghostly legionnaires who wander the halls. It’s for level 95 and 105 Thieving.
The second is the Asuran Arsenal on the south-east stretch of Anachronia. There’s a Dragonkin stockpile with siege cannons Kerapac once used to threaten Gielinor. This one is for level 108 to 118 Thieves.
Finishing a Heist pays out with XP, treasure, and a slate of items unique to the activity. New NPCs to pickpocket and new chests to break into fold directly into everyday skilling. RuneScape Heists also bring an overhaul to the chest system that modifies the pacing of mid-intensity training.
