Seedsow Lullaby is a new visual novel on Android that’s now available globally. It’s by Aniplex, a Japanese studio known for other visual novels like Adabana Odd Tales. This new game brings a time-bending story consisting of three generations from the same family.
Seedsow Lullaby Is Definitely Emotional
The game centres around family and its importance. The story starts with a girl who travels with her mother from the past, her daughter from the future, and a guide who claims to be her unborn brother.
The girl is Misuzu, a 16-year-old who lost her mother at a young age. In the year 2023, a girl claiming to be her mother, Yoko, suddenly visits her. Yoko is also 16 years old and has travelled from 1996.
Yoko tells Misuzu that she’s been chosen to take part in the Seedsow Ceremony. It’s a funeral for the gods and they have to do it to stop True Winter, an evil spirit that is taking over the gods’ realm.
Next, Misuzu ends up jumping to 2050, where her own daughter, Tsumugi, is waiting. She’s a 16 year old, too, in 20250. And joining them is Hiruko, a boy who says he’s Yoko’s miscarried son and Misuzu’s little brother who was never born.
The setting where they have to carry out the Seedsow Ceremony is the Eternal Realm. It’s the home of the gods, and is filled with vibrant landscapes. That’s the entire concept of Seedsow Lullaby.
The Game Is More Like a Japanese Animated Movie
The highlight of Seedsow Lullaby is its story and art. The characters move from place to place and the variety of backgrounds really drives home the sense of journey. It’s truly beautiful and will remind you of a lot of good Japanese animations.
Even though it’s a visual novel, there are no choices or branching paths. As of now, it supports English, Japanese, and simplified Chinese. You can play it for free, so check Seedsow Lullaby out on the Google Play Store.
