Sega does a switch, now won’t confirm Phantasy Star Online 2 platforms

Yesterday an announcement from Sega was released stating that Phantasy Star Online 2 would be coming to Europe and North America in 2013 and as you all may know, it has been stated in the past from Sega that it would be coming to mobile on iOS, Android and the PS Vita. Well that may not be such a certain thing anymore.

After yesterday’s announcement, Joystiq inquired as to what platforms this North American and European release would be and unfortunately Sega has switched their positions on what platforms Phantasy Star Online 2 would be arriving on.

“We can’t confirm any details about the final platforms for the North American and European versions of PSO2 at this time” – Sega representitive

Does this mean that it won’t be coming to Android? No it doesn’t. However, there could be a change in the platforms it arrives on when it reaches our shores and so Sega doesn’t want to say anything right now. Mobile versions of Phantasy Star Online 2 are expected to be released in Japan shortly after the PC version so at that time we should get more details about what platforms it will be on.
