SlimeClimb is a new game where you jump, fight, climb and slime. This solo-developed action platformer is by HanditapStudios. The game lets you experience life as a gooey, gravity-defying slime.

Where Is the SlimeClimb?

The game takes you deep underground into the strange and treacherous world of Subterra, where you have to bounce, flip and fight your way to the top. You play as a young, ambitious slime, determined to be the first of your kind to escape the underground and reach the stars.

There are spikes, shocking walls and creatures that look scary and horrible. Subterra is crawling with weird creatures like boxjellys, leadpods and industrialjellys. And there are bosses waiting to pull you down literally.

The platforms provide some variety too. Some bounce, some move, some electrocute you and some straight-up explode. Along the way, you’ll also meet The Elder Slime, a wise but worn-out climber who has seen it all and has some hard-earned knowledge to pass down.

The gameplay is all about precision. Tap to jump, hold to go higher, double-tap to flip. These are the only skills you need to survive the gauntlet of hazards in your path. In the meantime, you’ll collect coins, unlock new abilities, and discover over 100 unique areas with secrets.

Want to Create Your Own Levels?

SlimeClimb lets you challenge and torture others through the creator mode. It lets you design your own levels and share them with other players. You can customise it as much as you want using the in-game mechanics and vibrant slimy visuals.

Speaking of visuals, the game takes clear inspiration from classic platformers like Terraria (does the name Subterra ring a bell?). It’s an indie project but still quite impressive. It’s simple but does its job well. If you’re interested in trying this game out, head over to the Google Play Store.
