BuchioGames has dropped their dimension-shifting action game SNO Snow White on mobile. It’s truly unique with a strange fusion of 2D action and 3D puzzle-solving. The game has been developed entirely by the solo indie creator over six years.
Snow White is not a princess here!
The game is set in a sci-fi world, on a mysterious frozen planet called Snow White. It’s a side-scroller, where you run, jump, dodge traps, and deal with strange enemies.
You play as Global, a former hero of the AI Wars. You visit the icy planet to reconnect with an old comrade, but quickly get pulled into something else.
Now, let’s talk about the game’s specialty. It’s the AD Mode, or Another Dimension Mode. The perspective flips into first-person 3D, and then you’ll be using physics-based tools to interact with elements that aren’t visible in the 2D plane.
An important tool in SNO Snow White is the AD Ball. You can throw it into the unseen space to pull objects into your reality. It lets you turn walls into platforms, create paths, or trigger strange devices you couldn’t even perceive before.
The game’s level design is metroidvania-style. You’ll find areas that loop back into each other, secrets in unreachable spots, and mechanics that open up entirely new regions once you’ve mastered certain techniques. The deeper you go, the more complex the puzzles become conceptually.
SNO Snow White lets you explore a lot
As you explore abandoned labs, frozen ruins, and decaying technology across the planet, the past begins to surface. Consequently, you’ll find old archives, AI logs, and hints that whatever happened on Snow White was unsettling.
SNO Snow White is now out on the Google Play Store. It offers the first 2-4 hours for free and the full version through a single in-app purchase. The full game has over 20 hours of main story with no ads or paywalls. Also, be sure to read our next scoop on Haikyu!! Fly High Global.
