It’s epic! Sonic the Hedgehog and the Angry Birds are teaming up! I guess there are a few good things in life that you get even without asking, and this one’s surely one of them. The epic Sonic x Angry Birds crossover has begun, and there’s a lot to look out for.
So, Rovio’s Angry Birds and SEGA’s Sonic have decided to give us a special crossover. The Sonic x Angry Birds collab is taking over not just one but five games in total! The event runs from March 15th to March 21st on both Android and iOS. I know, there’s no time to waste!
It’s A Jam-Packed Event
Sonic characters are zipping into Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Friends, and Angry Birds Dream Blast, while the Angry Birds crew is taking flight in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle and Sonic Dash. The Sonic x Angry Birds crossover event is loaded with new characters to play, shiny collectibles time-limited events and some exclusive goodies.
So, the Piggy Kingdom villains have cooked up a portal straight to Sonic’s world, teaming up with the notorious Doctor Eggman to stir up trouble. Now, it’s on Red and Sonic to band together and pull their friends out of the mess.
In Sonic Forces, Red and Chuck have zoomed in as new playable characters. Sonic Dash is bringing back Red and Chuck too, but it’s got their new movie look rather than their 2015 Angry Birds Toons vibe. You’ll need to collect 150 cards to unlock these Legendary rarity characters as the event alternates between them daily. Catch a glimpse of the Sonic x Angry Birds crossover below!
Over In Angry Birds
In Angry Birds 2, you can spruce up your flock with Sonic the Hedgehog hats for the main characters. Or you can climb the Tower of Fortune to grab them. You can also snag the Super Sonic spell that showers the screen with rings wreaking havoc on anything they touch.
Angry Birds Friends is getting a specially crafted Green Hill-themed level marathon. Keep your eyes peeled for Easter eggs like Goal Plates, No Fun Allowed Signs and even Sonic and Friends popping up in the background. The new sign is actually a fun nod to a meme-tastic illustration from Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic’s Shoes Blues.
There’s a new massive level where you get to dismantle a Doctor Eggman structure, while pigs are decked out in Eggman and Badnik gear. I reckon you get your hands on the Sonic x Angry Birds crossover ASAP, and join the fun!
