You might have heard of developer Super Spin Digital for their games Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride and Steppy Pants. One of their other hits is the rhythm game Spin Rhythm, the success of which led to its sequel Spin Rhythm XD on PC and consoles in 2024. Now, they’re finally bringing Spin Rhythm XD to mobile via Crunchyroll.

Technically, this isn’t the first time that the rhythm game series has been available on mobile. Spin Rhythm was previously available on Android and iOS, published under Habby’s banner. But in late 2023, the game was removed from the mobile stores as their contract with Habby ended.

Now, to bring its intergalactic rhythm battles to Android, Spin Rhythm XD is teaming up with Crunchyroll. The devs are eyeing a Q4 2025 launch. The game will be a part of the Crunchyroll Game Vault and available exclusively to Crunchyroll Mega and Ultimate Fans.

Meanwhile, the team is launching a major content update for the game. On November 11th, the Indie Pack DLC lands on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5|4. The pack introduces seven brand-new tracks from indie artists, like Mei Semones, Hachiku, and Blanco Tranco.

Are you excited that Crunchyroll is bringing Spin Rhythm XD to mobile?

Spin Rhythm XD involves analogue-inspired spinning, flicking, and tapping to vibrant EDM tracks. The game offers more than 70 playable tracks. These range from EDM artists like Camellia, Anamanaguchi, and Moe Shop to other electronic artists like Nitro Fun, Au5, Hyper Potions, and Pegboard Nerds.

You get five difficulty levels, including Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert, and XD mode. There are a lot of options for customisation and accessibility. You can unlock wheel and UI skins, adjust track speed, tweak visual impact settings, and even edit or create your own levels.

Until the game lands on Android, you can check its features on Steam or the official website.
