Final Fantasy fans have been waiting for awhile now for Square Enix to bring Final Fantasy IV to Android since it was announced as heading our way back in December 2012. iOS gamers got the game first and fairly quickly too, leaving Android gamers waiting for a few months longer for whatever particular reason. Well the wait is finally over and Android gamers who have waited patiently for this day to arrive can now download the next installment into the Final Fantasy series on Android.
Update: June 3rd, 2013 10:49am PST: Just a quick update to mention that this game currently doesn’t work for rooted devices. Hopefully this will change in an update.
Originally released back in 1991 (yes, it has been that long!), Final Fantasy IV was changed in a lot of ways as to how the franchises titles would eventually continue to be played thanks to the introduction of the Active Time Battle (ATB) system in this installment. The Augment system was also introduced into the series in this game which allows players to transfer abilities from one character to another.
Final Fantasy IV Features:
– Voice acting for event scenes: Key events unfold with spoken dialogue.
– Deeply emotional portrayals: Characters go through visibly apparent emotional changes.
– A brand new mapping feature: Players start with a completely blank dungeons map, adding an element of the unknown to the mix!

In Final Fantasy IV, for those of you not familiar with this installment, players will be following the story of Cecil who is a dark knight who ends up trying to prevent the sorcerer Golbez from seizing powerful crystals and destroying the world. As like any other Final Fantasy game, you’ll ave plenty of allies that will join you along the way. Some will live, some will leave and some will die. Tears will be shed and happiness will be had.
One really cool feature to enjoy when not playing the game is the jukebox Final Fantasy IV comes with, allowing the true Final Fantasy fan to listen to the game’s soundtrack at any time on their Android device.
