The mobile version of Subnautica: Below Zero is now out. The underwater survival game is the next chapter in the Subnautica universe. It brings an open world set on the alien ocean planet known as Planet 4546B.

Subnautica: Below Zero has a new setting

The story takes place in the arctic region of the new planet. After crash landing planetside, you venture into the freezing waters to investigate what happened to your sister.

The game expands on the original adventure with new environments, creatures, and challenges. You’ll encounter unfamiliar biomes and explore the planet’s ecosystem while piecing together details about earlier visitors to Planet 4546B.

The environment in Subnautica: Below Zero introduces new complications. The arctic setting means the cold is a constant threat, requiring you to find ways to stay warm while exploring. Tools and items such as a cold suit, hot coffee, and nearby Thermal Lilies can help you manage the freezing temperatures.

You gather resources, build extensive habitats, and assemble specialised equipment to survive the climate. You can travel across the snowy tundra with the Snowfox hoverbike, while the modular Seatruck helps with underwater exploration.

You can swim through locations like the blue lit arches of Twisty Bridges and travel into the Crystal Caverns. You venture through the icy caves of Glacial Basin and navigate areas around erupting Thermal Vents in search of ancient alien artefacts.

You may pass through the massive Titan Holefish, come across the Shadow Leviathan, or observe small creatures such as Pengwings. Not every species is harmless, and you ought to be cautious while moving through the various ecosystems around the planet.
