Super Arc Light gets updated with a new difficulty mode, weapon selection system and more

Super Arc Light, from the oddly named development studio called Channel 4 Television Corporation, has pushed out an update that brings with it quite a good number of additions to it. For those of you not familiar with this game, Super Arc Light is a fast-paced hybrid title that combines an arcade shooter with an endless tunnel racing game, all of which is wrapped up in a minimalist style of visuals.

You will be racing as fast as possible through space, within a tunnel, all while trying to take out all the enemies that are coming at you at the same time. There’s no stages so there’s no end either. You’ll need to survive for as long as possible and you’ll need to have good reflexes in order to accomplish that. It isn’t just about shooting enemies out of the sky.

The update for Super Arc Light brings a new difficulty mode called 3 Lives. As you are probably guessing, you only have three lives to make it as far as possible. There is also a new weapon selection system that will give players three randomly selected weapons to use. You will need to deal with whatever weapons you end up getting. Each one has its own button, so you can just use the one you want to use when you need to.

Super Arc Light will now also have your current score visible while you’re playing and when you die, you’ll be able to see your speed stats on the Game Over screen. Rounding everything out is one new enemy that has been added to the game that you’ll need to learn and deal with.

For those of you with this game installed, you should be able to download the update at any time now. If you want to snap up a copy of Super Arc Light, you can do so for $0.99.
