Broom Broom In The Room is an arcade game where you take control of a wise-cracking broom in a house full of horrors and animated objects.
Okay, let’s try to explain that a little. The story begins with Lord Thistledown, proud owner of a large mansion. Apparently an evil wizard took against him and decided to curse his house. Household objects have come to life, and not in a charming, Beauty And The Beast sort of way. This furniture is out for blood.
Take Out The Trash
Fortunately, not all his possessions have turned against him, as the Lord’s loyal broom is still on his side, and determined to knock the house back into shape, along with any of the other objects causing havoc.
During the room levels you take control of Broomy, and sweep through the different rooms, cutting off the badly behaved belongings. Just make sure you don’t run into one.
As you clean up the house, you can also clean up financially. Clearing rooms gives you ingredients. You can turn these into potions and sell them on. Then use the money to upgrade your brewing supplies to start a whole apothecary empire. Well, guess His Lordship might as well make the best of a bad situation.
Carry on, and maybe you can find a way to break the wizard’s curse and get your house back.
Solo Project
The game was developed as a solo project by the dev working part-time, though it seems there’s more content on the way.
Broom Broom In The Room is due for a large content update in June too, with a game flow overhaul and plenty of new content.
