Today saw the third Humble Bundle for Android launch and one game that is included in the package is the award winning Spirits by Spaces of Play. At the time we wrote about the Humble Bundle launching, we checked to see what games were on Google Play that haven’t been there until now. Bit.Trip Beat was one, Uplink will stay Humble Bundle exclusive for a bit we think, but Spirits wasn’t there, until now.
Spirits is definitely a very unique game not only in how it looks but how you play it as well. Fall is coming and it is time for the spirits to get how. In a sort of Lemmings style type of game, you have to get the spirits safely home, which is the big white swirly hole. Each spirit can be sacrificed and perform one of four actions: build a bridge of leaves, create a blowing cloud, dig tunnels, or block wind currents in an area. Those are the only actions the spirits can do aside from jumping into the white hole and those are your only tools to get the spirits to that white hole.
For those of you who like games that feature a unique look to them, like Limbo, then you will probably dig the eye candy Spirits comes with. It definitely has a look all its own which actually seems to feel a bit more like an animated movie than an actual game. Round everything off with a killer mellow soundtrack and you are good to go.
