After seven years of home-building, Sim-creating, and life-simulating on phones, The Sims Mobile is shutting down. Yep, EA confirmed that the game will go offline on January 20th, 2026, marking the end of its run since its 2018 debut.

The announcement came with the game’s final update, which is now live. This update includes a list of farewell events, unlimited energy, and one last round of celebrations before the servers shut down for good.

What’s in store in the final update?

The final stretch of events runs right up until January. The Eerie Autumn Festival Pass is live now and lasts through December 19th. It’s followed by a rotation of themed content like Cozier Home, Hallways Ready, and Season’s Greetings.

Several Wumple’s Wishlist quests also return, offering smaller, time-limited objectives each week. The last major event, New Year’s Dock and Roll, will run from December 29th to January 10th. Meanwhile, the final Wumple’s Wishlist quest is closing out on January 17th.

The developers have also planned something special before the shutdown. On January 6th, 2026, every Build Mode and Create A Sim item in The Sims Mobile will unlock for all players, removing level restrictions entirely.

Got The Sims Mobile on your phone?

The game has already been delisted from the Google Play Store. However, if you have it installed on your phone, you can still play and redownload it from the app until the shutdown.

You can no longer spend real money in the game, though any existing SimCash, Simoleons, or Tickets can still be used until the end. The final update, on the other hand, includes unlimited energy to wrap up your stories or finish builds. For more such info, you can check out these FAQs on the official website.
