Titan Brawl from Omnidrone is coming to Android. Try the beta now!

Omnidrone is an independent game company that is full of talented individuals. They are based in Barcelona, Spain. Their talent is showcased on their game Titan Brawl. It is full of action, strategy and mayhem. It is coming to Android and iOS soon, but you can get in on the Android beta now.

Titan Brawl is a mixture of genres that will have you competing against other players online. If you are up to the challenge, this rapid action game that is full of unique characters, will test your ability to implement the perfect strategy, in games that are easily finished in under five minutes. If you enjoy playing MOBA games, or e-sports games, you should check out Titan Brawl.

“In the game you assemble a team of four comprising intergalactic brawlers; from ex-military mercs to ancient gods. Tanks, healers, damage healers… And one titular Titan. They have one mission – protect their Totem and destroy the enemies’ one. The totems are flanked by two towers. Opposing territories are connected with two lanes, where most of the brawling happens. You play the game by deploying your troops and using power-ups.” – Omnidrone

We were fortunate enough to get in on the beta, and have started playing a few rounds. The game has an excellent tutorial. If you are not familiar with MOBA games and some of the strategy involved, Omnidrone’s tutorial will help you out a lot. The tutorial starts you off with two lanes and two brawlers. It slowly walks you through strategy necessary to win the game, which means taking down the enemies tower. So to begin, it is two characters and you select which of the two lanes you want them to move down to the other end of your screen. I can see where it will be helpful to play this on a tablet, as you will need to scroll periodically, once things get pretty hectic. Fortunately there is a well-designed mini-map, so you can have some idea of what is taking place at the other end of the screen. While you are sending out your titans, so is your opponent.  It is good to know what they are sending your way, so you can know how to combat them. Making sure you take out the enemy is just as important as figuring out how to take out their tower. If you spend your time focusing on their tower, you might find your tower destroyed in a matter of moments.

The graphics in the game are well-produced. The characters basically auto-run to the other end of the screen. This isn’t boring because have the ability to rewind the movement of your characters, if you want to pull them away from the action for a bit. In addition, each brawler has a special skill/power-up that they can use when they get in range of an opponent or tower. A target reticule pops up and you hit the action button to unleash their special power. While this is great to have, it also has to be part of your strategy in the game, because the power-ups are only possible if you have enough mana. Mana is shared by all of your players. This is where it will be critical for you to know what the capabilities of each of your brawlers are, and there are quite a few. They are unlocked as you win battles. You also have the ability to upgrade them with coins. This is where I believe Titan Brawl matches will be extremely interesting. Each player is going to develop their titans based on how they like to use them, which means when you get into a game with someone else, you won’t know what they are throwing at you until it happens. I like this component and if matches are under four minutes, you can play a lot of different people, and not get bored with the gameplay because of the variety of strategies you could encounter.

Titan Brawl Features:

  • Real time games, with real players
  • Quick paced, 4 minute long matches
  • Easily connect with friends
  • Awesome heroes to collect
  • Co-op with friends

We are not sure how long the beta will run for Titan Brawl, but we have included a link for you to get in on the beta. We found out about this over the weekend, so hopefully beta slots are still open.

So far I am enjoying Titan Brawl. I am not a huge fan of MOBA’s, but this one is appealing to me, so I will definitely be spending more time with it. I may even go back and revisit Vainglory. There are some elements of Titan Brawl that remind me of the recently released game Spellbinders, from Kiloo Games. This genre of gaming is extremely popular now, and Omnidrone wanted to create an e-sports game that you could play on your mobile phone.  If enough players populate the servers, I think they will have a winner in Titan Brawl.

Titan Brawl will be free to play and it is slated to come to Android/iOS in the Spring. We aren’t too far away from Summer, so hopefully that means the game is just around the corner. If you get into the beta, let us know what you think in the comments. The character designs and abilities of the titans are pretty amazing. We will keep up with Omnidrone as they release more information, and will pass it on to you. The link for the trailer and the beta are down below.
