Marvel Puzzle Quest will be getting its own Civil War, all of which is inspired by the Captain America: Civil War movie and storyline. This will be an in-game event that will launch a day before the movie lands in theaters (May 6th, 2016) where players will be able to pick a side to be on, whether it is Team Iron Man or Team Captain America.
Update: May 5th, 2016 1:38pm PST: Just a quick heads-up that if you’re waiting for the Civil War event to begin in Marvel Puzzle Quest, then you should be all ready to go as it begins today. While we don’t have an exact time, it is starting today to keep an eye out for that in-game.
The Civil War event will have players choosing a side with their alliance, before heading off to battle through missions of the opposing team, with the end goal being to confront a special boss version of Captain America or Iron Man. The boss you face depends on what side you are on. Players will be able compete in the event with their Alliance mates to recruit both 5-star Epic Characters, Steve Rogers (First Avenger) and Iron Man (Mark XLVI) to their roster.
The team members for each are as follows:
– Team Iron Man includes: Iron Man, Black Panther, Black Widow, Vision, War Machine and more.
– Team Captain America includes: Captain America, Ant-Man, Falcon, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier, and more.
In order to mark the occasion, Winter Soldier will become available starting tomorrow (April 28th) and you will need to have him because he will be required in order to fully complete all the nodes in the first run of the “Civil War” event. After that the upcoming character, War Machine, will mark the second run scheduled to start later in May. You can check out each team’s full roster here.
