If you like Norse mythology games, then there’s a new game that just landed on Android today. It’s called Valhalla Survival and it’s a hack-and-slash RPG that’s part survival and part roguelike. Developed and published by Lionheart Studio, it’s running on Unreal Engine 5.
Valhalla Survival has a vertical interface, so you can play it one-handed on your phone. Right now, the game is kicking things off with a Grand Launch Celebration, running until February 4th, 2025.
There are dungeon runs, login rewards and ‘Thank You Cards’ that you can exchange for rewards. You get until February 7th to redeem them. Just log in, hit up the Festival Dungeon and start collecting. You can check out the official launch support event rewards on the official announcement page.
What’s the Gameplay of Valhalla Survival Like?
You start by picking your hero from three classes which are Warrior, Sorceress and Rogue. You then step into the shoes of legendary figures straight out of Norse mythology. You battle with monsters while building your ultimate hero with endless combinations of skills and items.
There are plenty of stages in Valhalla Survival for you to try out. You get over 100 stages, each with its own terrain and strategies. There are standard waves of enemies, 240 monster types to be exact, but then there are the massive boss battles that crank the challenge up to eleven.
The game also has a special mode called Eternal Glory. It lets you face endless waves of monsters. On that note, take a peek at what the game actually looks like.
For mythology buffs, the game nails the vibe of Valhalla, that legendary hall where fallen heroes feast and prepare for Ragnarok. Except here, you’re slashing through monsters and bosses with equipment upgrades and evolving skills.
