Tactical PvP mobile shooter War Robots is bringing something loud, metallic, and very Swedish. Developer Pixonic and publisher MY.GAMES have announced that War Robots is teaming up with the legendary heavy metal band Sabaton.

The collaboration celebrates the band’s loyal fan base among players and the release of its latest album, Legends. One of its tracks is part of the game with Update 11.5, which is now live across all platforms.

The War Robots x Sabaton crossover arrives alongside the Fire Storm in-game event, which runs from October 28th to December 9th. Logging in during this period, you’ll find your hangars transformed by a new design inspired by the Legends album cover.

The new Sabaton track A Tiger Among Dragons plays as the official hangar soundtrack. Surely, it gives every match a dramatic musical backdrop worthy of the band’s historical war themes. Take a look at the event trailer below.

According to Boris Burangulov, Producer of War Robots, the collaboration was shaped entirely by the community. The team often surveys players about their preferences outside the game.

The latest round revealed that most War Robots players are metal fans, with Sabaton emerging as their clear favourite. Once the results came in, Pixonic decided to make that enthusiasm official by reaching out to the band for a special crossover.

Sabaton bassist, manager, and co-founder Pär Sundström shared that the band was genuinely moved by the fan response. After learning that so many War Robots players had chosen them as their top band, the group wanted to do something memorable in return. And hence, they brought a song straight from Legends into the game’s hangars.

Excited for War Robots x Sabaton?

Sabaton has been around since 1999, dropping several powerful metal anthems inspired by real-world conflicts. Their songs reflect trenches of the World Wars to stories of medieval warriors.
