After Way of the Hunter – Wild America, Way of the Hunter – Wild Europe is lining up its debut on Android. Pre-registration is open right now, with the game set to launch on mobile on January 13th, 2026. Wild America launched in May this year.
Wild Europe builds on the foundation originally created by Nine Rocks Games. The original PC game Way of the Hunter was released in August 2022. Wild America and Wild Europe are bringing the fully featured PC and console simulation onto mobile.
Hunt in Europe
It’s set in Eastern Europe, with an open world around the hunting grounds of Transylvania. The region sprawls across towering mountain ridges, dense mist-rolled forests, and long stretches of grassland.
The entire design is based on natural realism, where the environment is an active influence on each decision. You might experience a gust of wind redirecting a shot or shifting light revealing movement in the treeline.
Advanced ballistics, real-time wind simulation, and animal behaviour models are features available in the game. Tracking a chamois up steep cliffs plays out very differently from waiting in a quiet meadow for a red deer. Meanwhile, larger predators like the brown bear demand a more cautious pace.
In total, 15 species populate the map. There are golden jackals, mouflon, wild boar, and swift-flying graylag geese. Each uses animations and behaviour patterns that attempt to mimic how they would behave in the wild.
Blood trail analysis shows up as a key skill, while Hunter Sense helps decode clues in the field. The rewindable bullet camera gives you a way to study impact and trajectory after a shot. There are gear options, covering equipment, licensed firearms, and passes that open additional opportunities.
