After a really long wait, World of Goo (mobile) is finally back with a full sequel. 2DBOY and Tomorrow Corporation just dropped World of Goo 2 on mobile. Alongside Android, it has launched on Steam, PlayStation 5 and iOS.
A Ton of New Stuff
World of Goo 2 Mobile brings new things, like over 30 extra fabulous achievements. The team also rolled out an options menu, which apparently is a first for any 2DBOY or Tomorrow Corporation game.
The first World of Goo came out on Windows in October 2008. It lets you build weird bridges and towers with little goo balls while fighting physics and gravity.
This time, you’re messing around with realistic flowing, splashing, viscous liquid. You can control it like a river, convert it into Goo Balls, put out fires and solve ridiculous puzzles.
World of Goo 2 Mobile brings new kinds of Goo, too. You get Jelly Goo, Liquid Launchers, Growing Goo, Shrinking Goo, Explosive Goo, and a bunch more weird species. It’s going to be pretty wild trying to figure out how they all work together.
On that note, take a look at one of the trailers below.
There Are a Lot of Levels to Chew Through in the World of Goo 2 Mobile
The game has a new story stretched across five chapters. That’s more than 60 new levels, and each one comes with extra challenges. The story even goes big, covering hundreds of thousands of years.
You’ll be working with a mysterious company that claims to be all green and eco-friendly now, trying to collect as much Goo as possible. But there’s more going on than they’re letting on, and you’re going to find out exactly what as you go deeper.
After all these years, the little balls are back. Grab the game from the Google Play Store; it’s priced at $9.99.
