As you all know Amazon now has their own Android Appstore and in it they have the ability to offer paid apps and games for free on a daily basis, just like Apple’s App Store. Today, for us Android users that free game is Doodle Jump. Normally 99 cents, Doodle Jump has over 250,000 downloads in the regular Android Market and is rated at 4.5/5 stars.

Clones are nothing new to the Android Market but once in awhile there comes a time where something is so blatantly ripped off that it need to be brought to light along with the topic of clones. Doodle Fit by Gamelion is a prime example of this with the clone, Fix It, being almost a complete rip-off of Doodle Fit.
Here is one coming right out of the Apple/LucasArts/Twitter books. Lima Sky, the developers of Doodle Jump for Android and iOS, are actively pursuing developers who use the word ‘Doodle’ in their game title as a Trademark violation and to change their names or action will be taken against them.
Since June, Doodle Jump hasn’t received an update. The hit game that came to Android from iOS was well received by the Android community and now a lot of people are going to be happy that it has been updated finally with more themes, 4 to be exact. Jungle, Space, Night and Christmas are now apart of the Android version of Doodle Jump.
