Back during CES 2015 we got to sit down with Gameloft and go hands-on with their upcoming addition to their Dungeon Hunter franchise, that being Dungeon Hunter 5. While we were not able to talk about what we witness during that hands-on time immediately, we are now able to talk about the hands-on we had with the game itself.

One thing there is plenty of at CES every year are headsets, whether the full headband style (with or without mics) or the ear bud kind, there is always a ton of headsets to check out. Most of these are geared towards listening to music and watching video on your smartphone or tablet. However there is also the occasional mobile gaming-centric headset to be found and one of those happens to be Mad Catz’s other announcement.
In the past couple of years Mad Catz has really pushed well into the mobile gaming market with their peripherals and even an Android-based game console called the MOJO. Since the company first dove into the mobile gaming scene, each year we get to see new peripherals to get released and CES 2015 is definitely no exception to this with two new peripherals announced for mobile gamers. There is the L.Y.N.X.9 mobile game controller and the Swarm mobile gaming headset which we will go into in a second article.
Gameloft has recently been teasing the reveal of a few new games at E3. One of those games is Dungeon Gems and if you were thinking it is a puzzle game from all the concept art, then you were correct. Part puzzle game, part dungeon crawler, players swipe gems, you will be doing all of this in order to defeat your enemies.
One of the finest strategy games you can come across on Android is Anomaly: Warzone Earth, and its follow-up Anomaly Korea. For the uninitiated, both these games put a twist to the age-old tower defense formula, where instead of you being on the side of the towers, you are now in control of a convoy making its way through a maze of alien machines.
With Square Enix’s recent announcement of nine Dragon Quest games heading to mobile over the next little while, one would expect that the first hands-on video from the upcoming mobile versions of the franchise would be of the first game. Interestingly enough though the first hands-on video is that of Dragon Quest VIII instead.
Our friends over at The Binary Mill were kind enough to pass along a preview build for their upcoming Android game called Mini Motor Racing. Featuring a top-down perspective similar to Reckless Racing, you will be racing across a variety of tracks with a variety of vehicles at your disposal including a Fruit Ninja car and Santa’s sled.
TwitchTV launched an application for Android in beta status a few weeks ago and since then we have had plenty of time to muck around with this new application. For those of you who are not familiar with TwitchTV, it is another service offered by Justin.TV but is completely gaming related.
We get interesting things in the mail once in awhile and yesterday we got the non-Xperia Play copy of EA’s Battlefield Bad Company 2 game which has been available for the Xperia Play for some time now but exclusively for the Xperia Play. Well it looks like an official version for all other Android devices may be on the way.
Another article in our GDC Extended series is our hands-on with another Tegra-based game heading our way called Dark Kingdom THD. This is a port of the Playstation 3 title of the same name and features a top-down perspective for you to enjoy while walking around massacring monsters.
