Another game we got to get some serious face time with was Sega’s upcoming Sonic 4 Episode II title for quad-core Android devices. Aside from being able to get a good idea of how the game looks and plays, there is also a rumored release date floating around right now as well although no official confirmation of this date has been given.

Way back in November we wrote about Gamelion’s upcoming title for Android called Monster Shooter. Since then the team over there have been working on bringing it to Android now that the iOS version is out. The good folks over at Gamelion shot us a preview build to test out and show you.
Sega will be continuing their push into the Android Market soon with a new game, exclusive to the Xperia Play for now, called Virtua Tennis Challenge. We got a chance to meet up with Mike from Sega who is the Brand Manager for Virtua Tennis on mobile platforms and had some fun playing this upcoming game.
Zombie Driver THD is one of the games we mentioned that would be coming to Android this year and we managed to get a bit of a gameplay preview of this title filmed while at the nVidia booth. Developed by Exor Studios, Zombie Driver THD isn’t your normal zombie survival game.
One of the other items we really wanted to check out was the multiplayer functionality that is coming to Shadowgun for Android. This new version will be called Shadowgun: Deadzone and we got to check out some of the gameplay for it. End result: It is about time multiplayer came to Shadowgun.
Once in awhile we stumble onto something on the Android Market which makes no sense to us. Lord of Darkness by BiCORE is one of those things that just doesn’t make sense. This is a hack n’ slash side-scrolling 3D action game with RPG elements but it is only for people in Korea.
Another game a lot of people seem interested in and are looking forward to is the MMOFPS we have been reporting on called DaVinci THD which is being developed by Bridea Corp using Unreal Engine 3. This is a 3D MMOFPS game that also comes with PvE content for those people not interested in just slaughtering other players.
One of the things we were really looking forward to was getting some hands-on time with Spacetime Studios’ upcoming MMORPG for Android (and iOS) called Star Legends. We also really wanted to check out how the game would handle using the Xperia Play controls. We were not disappointed at all.
One things we really wanted to do was get some hands-on loving of OnLive’s service with the universal remote running on Android. While they had an HTC Flyer on display where you could look at it and get a preview, the great folks over at OnLive brought us in for a great hands-on with OnLive on the Motorola XOOM.
While we enjoy saying the ‘Sony Android Playstation phone’, the official name is the Xperia Play and is a lot shorter to say. Taking that into account, the Xperia Play is probably the worst kept secret in Android history so far with the amount of leaks, videos, hands-on and so on which is impressive considering the phone doesn’t exist.
