A couple of days ago we posted about a mobile MMORPG that would be coming to the West finally in a completely localized English version called Rebels & Rulers. Originally locally restricted to China, the game has undergone translation and will be heading to the Android Market by year’s end.

We have seen a few small clips of what Shadowgun would look like a few weeks back when we were reporting on all the Tegra 3 gaming news. The difference in detail and how the water looked alone was impressive even for the short few second we saw it. nVidia has released a new preview via Twitter showing more of what to expect.
G5 Entertainment is continuing their push to put their weight behind the Kindle Fire by bringing another game for it to the Amazon App Store. This time it’s their Sim City-style game called Virtual City which is a rather good game if you enjoy sim/management type of games.
Well this is a bit of a surprise and should make a lot of parents happy, that is if you let your young ones actually play with your Android devices if they don’t have one of their own. Mediocre, the developers of Sprinkle which is the rather excellent water-based physics puzzler is coming out with a more child friendly version called Sprinkle Junior.
Halfbrick has released the second episode in their mini developer diary series of videos featuring their upcoming game Machine Gun Jetpack. In this episode some of the Halfbrick team talk about designing the power-ups that will be in-game including the Mech Suit vehicle!
Here is an interesting move by Gameloft regarding one of their racing games. While it was available on their own store for $4.99, they have released GT Racing Motor Academy for free on the Android Market but with in-game purchases available instead of charging you for the game.
Before the doors even opened for E3 to start, we met up with Madfinger Games, developer of Samurai II: Vengeance and the upcoming game Shadowgun. We got a chance to sit down with them and have a good talk as well as get some hands-on time with Shadowgun.
Game Closure is at Google I/O 2011 this year over at the developer’s sandbox showing off their new pure HTML5 game called Pop Star Defense. You might find it odd that a browser game developer is at Google I/O but having been developed using HTML5, Pop Star Defense is playable on any mobile device through it’s browser.
Exit4Gaming is the developer that brought Lava Ball 3D to Android. Recently they just released a new game called Rebound and while talking with Exit4Gaming we got onto the topic of their next game currently being developed. Rebound is a great little game, challenging but simple to pick up and play whenever you have some time to kill.
It seems that another push from GetJar in support of Android gaming is under way with the recent announcement that they have teamed up with Glu Mobile to offer some of their best paid games for free. A couple of the titles available are Built-a-lot, which is a Sim City style game and Stranded: Mysteries of Time, which is an action game with Dinosaurs.
