Google continues making moves to improve their stance with gaming especially social gaming. Their latest move is with yet another purchase of a company, this time called Slide. Slide is another social gaming company who have released games such as SuperPoke!, SuperPoke! Pets, Top Fish, SuperPocus Academy of Magic, and the Facebook application FunSpace.

The big news so far today is the announcement that OpenFeint will be coming to Android. OpenFeint is a social gaming network that enables developers to share leaderboards and achievements, buddy lists and other various social elements across various platforms such as iOS and now Android. This will also integrate Google Checkout and the release of Game Spotlight app.
Scoreloop is a social gaming platform for mobile games and has recently added support for Android games. Scoreloop allows users to track other player’s achievements as well as share games with friends. Two of the most popular games for Android, Jewels and Toss It!, now use Scoreloop and the company claims it’s growing faster than Foursquare.
Here’s a pretty interesting and entertaining social game called GrandMasterPixel, developers by OMGWTFGAMES !!1!, which has to be one of the top 5 best names for a developer that I’ve come across so far. The game is a sort of ‘Hot or Not’ style game except with pixel art that other people vote on in matches and the winner gains points and rewards.
