When gamers are vetting their options for new games, the guiding factor common in the decision making process is how much value a game offers. In seeking an answer to the question of whether or not a game offers a great value, reviews are often a useful metric. User reviews in particular have increased in popularity over the years, so much so that no popular online platform is without a section devoted to consumer feedback for products and services. Consequently, this means that word of mouth diffuses expeditiously and can adversely affect public reception of a product very early on. Content producers are very aware of this fact and many have been caught engaging in all manner of unethical behavior, from deleting negative comments about their products, to banning users from games and services.

[Update: Released] Pre-orders for 11-bit studios’ This War Of Mine for Android now live with proceeds going to charity.

11-bit Studios’ rather popular survival game This War Of Mine for PC will be heading to tablets soon and the company is doing something a little different than what you usually see with Android games. Pre-orders for This War Of Mine forAndroid are now available and the company is doing this in order to collect money for the War Child charity.

Kickstarter project Legends of Fire and Steel hoping to coming to Android Tablets

Currently in a Kickstarter campaign until July 18th (and not yet funded), Legends of Fire and Steel is a game that focuses on capturing territories. Legends is turn based, with a fantasy flavor to it. The developers, Boomzap to be specific, we are currently developing it for both desktop (PC and Mac), as well as ‘mobile tablets’, which includes Android. As an aside, while they don’t specifically mention it, I personally suspect that it’s a game that requires some larger screen space, hence the omission of phones.

Here is this week’s free hero rotation on Vainglory featuring Petal, Koshka, Glaive and more

Earlier today we announced that Vainglory had been updated a few days early with the extra special version 1.6 update. This is the update that finally brings official Android support to the game. So now all of you who have been waiting for this game to leave its beta for Android can now play. We’ve been playing for awhile in the beta and it is quite the fun game, although you can expect our full review now that it is officially out to come shortly.
