Starbase Defense

Starbase Defense, developed by Sebastian Serafin, is sort of like a tower defense game in that you have to defend your starbase against endless waves of enemies. While you don’t have any towers or things of that nature to help you out you do have upgrades you can purchase after each round. This is a great example of what to play when you want to kill some time.

The controls are about as easy as it gets. Just tap the screen where you want your starbase to shoot. Enemies come from both sides of the screen so as you progress further into the game you will have to be quick on your shooting. There are multiple types of enemies such as ones that move faster while others are much stronger and take more shots to kill.

  • Various upgrades that can be purchased
  • Different enemies types
  • Good 2D graphics
  • No end to the game
  • Save game feature so you can pick up where you left off

You definitely want to think about what upgrades you want to purchase after the first few levels as it gets harder rather quickly and picking the wrong starting upgrades and lead you and your starbase to disaster! The fact this game is endless is great and provides pretty much unlimited replay values especially since you can save your game and pick up where you left off at any time.

Starbase Defense provides just enough depth to keep you playing it but also the freedom to stop whenever you want which makes this a perfect game to play when you have a few minutes to kill here and there. You can pick up Starbase Defense off the Android market right now for free!
