Well isn’t this just a sad bit of news to hit the virtual airwaves this afternoon. A developer called cyberniko from Vuxia decided to release his new game, Iron Soldiers, onto the XDA-forums for an open beta test. Usually this is a good idea because you can get valuable feedback about bugs and suggestions. It didn’t work out that way though.
Day: 10 January 2011
Something else that was pretty interesting over at the LG booth this year at CES 2011 was the unveiling of a glasses-free mobile screen LG had been developing. The display was showing off how it will look on devices slated to be coming out soon with these screens meaning we could see future Tegra 2 3D Android devices from LG.
Handmark, a 3rd party mobile app and game market who also publish games and apps for developers on the Android Market, announced a moment ago that the popular game called Shift by Armor Games is on its way to Android. They also have opened up a sign-up form online for qualified Beta Testers to sign-up.
Graal Online are currently planning to bring their old school styled MMORPG to Android, possibly in two different flavors, maybe even more. Called ‘Graal Classic’ and ‘Graal Era’, both of these games are MMORPGs and contain great old school 2D graphics which you probably have seen in a lot of retro console games from back in the day.
One of the more awesome Android phones at CES 2011 was the Optimus 2X from LG who came out strong this year at the show. This is LG’s first dual-core Android phone sporting a Tegra 2 chip inside and playing around with it, you can certainly see/feel the difference a Tager 2 makes in your phone.
Here is the best way to get the week started, more Xperia Play gameplay video! In this video we see a user loading up the Playstation ROMs for Resident Evil 2 and Ridge Racer via ROM Buddy. While this most likely won’t be how actual Playstation games will be loaded into the phone for playing, it is a neat temporary solution.
After the recent in-depth look at the Sony Playstation Android phone by a Chinese website, which ended up being posted about everywhere but here (sorry CES had me running!), it seems that this little device, dubbed the Xperia Play/Zeus/Z1, is becoming less camera shy each week. Another site now has new photos for your viewing pleasure.
