The headline may sound weird as we are talking about Microsoft releasing something onto the Android Market and not referring to any lawsuits but rest assured it is correct. Microsoft has released the Halo Waypoint application onto the Android Market which comes with the ATLAS service for Halo: Reach.

Unfortunately there is a bit of bad news today if you happen to own a Samsung Galaxy SII device and were hoping to play Grand Theft Auto III when it’s released for Android. Rockstar Games has come out to confirm that it will not be supporting that particular device.

Glu Mobile has an upcoming third-person shooter called Frontline Commando that will be heading to Android and iOS devices very soon. This was one of the titles they had mentioned in their announcements of games that will be arriving before year’s end.
Future Games of London have released a new game called Grabatron onto the Android Market. Well known for their Hungry Shark series of games, Grabatron strays away from their usual series of games FGOL (Future Games of London) work on and brings in a UFO with a retractable claw which you will use to create havoc for the humans.

G5 Entertainment has been steadily throwing their weight behind the Kindle Fire Android tablet from Amazon. They have been steadily optimizing all their games currently available on the Android Market for the Kindle Fire and have just added two more titles to their line-up for Amazon’s rather popular device.
A developer going by the name of Logastrod has taken cloning popular games to a whole new level. Not only has this developer cloned a lot of the currently popular games out right now for Android, right down to the copy/pasting of descriptions from the actual games, but they also contain malware apparently.
Eve of the Genesis, while hardly a new title, is proving itself to be one of the more popular examples of a 16-bit (That’s Super Nintendo/Genesis era for you young’ns) RPG throwback. Eve of the Genesis begins as most RPG’s of the era, with your main character privy to the first cracks of a potentially world shattering event.
You may or may not remember back in August when Mojang put up a limited edition Minecraft themed Xperia Play for sale on eBay. By the time the auction was over it had sold for a ridiculous $1525 although all the proceeds were given to a charity of Mojang’s choice. Well another one has appeared on eBay.
TinyCo has a released a new game on the Android Market last week called Tiny Village. TinyCo has a few games on the Android market (VIP Poker, Tap Resort Party) and quite a few on the iOS market. The one interesting fact about this game is that it was built using the Griffin Engine. This allows the company to build social games once and deploy them on iOS and Android markets simultaneously.
