Yes we still have GDC 2012 coverage to post about so considering this “GDC Extended” and with that we get to show you our hands-on of an upcoming Tegra-based Android game called Age of Booty THD from Chaotic Moon. This is a naval RTS game which some great visuals.
We actually reported on Age of Booty THD coming to Android back in January of this year. In this RTS game, you will be in command of ships on various maps with hexagon spaces. You will be completing missions where you will have to capture a certain amount of towns while dealing with the defending ships and other pirates as well. The more successful you are in the game the more cannon, armor and speed for their ship, as well as rum, wood and gold you will earn.
Age of Booty THD will also have multiplayer mode where you will be squaring off against other players for dominance of the seas and towns. It will be cross-platform multiplayer as well so you will be fighting it out with other gamers on other platforms should you choose to partake in the multiplayer mode. It is pretty much just how it is on XBLA aside from some interface changes to suit mobile devices. Still no word as to when this will arrive on Android. For now though, you get to see me try and play it with one hand.
