HTC and Sony are teaming up this month to give away free Android games for those of you who use Playstation Mobile which happens to be available on select HTC devices. If you happen to own one of these Playstation Certified HTC devices, you’ll be able to take advantage of this promotion and score a few free games this month.

Crescent Moon Games released their popular full-sized 3D Action-RPG Aralon: Sword and Shadow onto Android but there was a bit of a catch to the release. The game was launched onto the Amazon AppStore and only there. While this isn’t a huge issue, it did stop anyone without access to the Amazon AppStore from being able to purchase this game.
Zen Studios has announced that they will soon be releasing a new series of tables for their Zen Pinball platform themed around the Star Wars universe. For the purists out there, this new collection of tables have been ‘developed with authentic Star Wars moments’ with each table featuring a different iconic moment from the Star Wars universe and interactive 3D characters.
Release a game onto Google Play but don’t let anyone download it right away. That little scenario has happened a few times in the past with other games such as Avengers Initiative which sat on the Google Play store dormant for a couple of months, with not a single person able to download it. Well EA has released The Simpsons: Tapped Out onto Android finally but no one seems to be able to actually download it just yet.
The Wild Kingdoms is a new unique and intriguing board / card game where you can battle people globally through the online multiplayer feature or skirmish against each other using one device. Set in the Yoruba Kingdoms, your job is to build armies of creatures, control the forces of nature, and use magical charms against your opponents.
Rooted users have had the privilege to back-up all their games’ progress using apps such as Titanium Backup and My Backup. Now, ClockworkMod allows non-rooted users to join in the fun as well with the release of their new app called Carbon (not to be confused with the equally recent Twitter client sharing the same name).
Spiritual successor to Commander Keen series called Worlds of Wander hits Kickstarter for funding
There were plenty of good platformer coming out back in the 1990s and it is always good to see new life being breathed into some of these classics so we can once again enjoy them. Right now a game called Worlds of Wander has begun looking for funding on Kickstarter and this particular game is a spiritual successor to the Commander Keen series from back in the 1990s.
Amazon is gearing up to launch its own virtual currency that Kindle Fire owners can use to buy apps and games for their Kindle device. Officially called Amazon Coins, this virtual currency is slated to launch this May and provide another way for Kindle Fire owners to pay for their applications and games.
We won’t mention ‘the list’… you know… that list. Yeah, the one that contained all of the apparently titles Gameloft would be releasing during 2013. We also won’t mention that every title that has come out on Google Play or that has been announced as coming soon since that leak have been games that were on that list. This new game is no exception to that fact either.
A couple of interesting tidbits of news regarding the upcoming Android-powered game console OUYA have come out this morning. It seems like things just keep getting better and better for this little console, first with plenty of content from developers both big and small being made for it, and now some major retail power has been signed on to sell units both online and at physical storefronts.
