Last week we reported on Zen Studios who are the developers of Zen Pinball HD which is one of the two great pinball platforms available for Android on Google Play. They had announced a new series of pinball tables that would be heading our way that isn’t related to Marvel and is instead themed around a different universe, that being the Star Wars universe.
This new series of tables will feature pinball tables specifically themed around each movie, focusing on one or more of the major events and characters from those movies. The first three tables to be released soon are Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Aside from some screenshots and a teaser trailer, we didn’t know what these tables look like in action… until now. Zen Studios has released the first full trailer which happens to be for Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
As you can see in the video above, this looks to be one of their more interactive tables and it looks quite impressive. Aside from Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, compete with lightsaber action, this table will also have an AT-AT walker (with circling Snow Speeder), a Tie Fighter, Ion Cannon and more, all of which will be interactive in some fashion. Of course all of these tables will come with all of the standard Zen Pinball table features such as global leaderboards, experience in-game friend challenges, local hotseat, online multiplayer and so on.
So when can you get your hands on this and any of the other upcoming Star Wars tables? Unfortunately no specific date has been announced, only that it is coming soon. If you haven’t tried Zen Pinball HD yet, you can download it off of Google Play for free and play the one free table it comes with. Other tables are available through in-game purchases.
