It isn’t like either company didn’t have the money to spare, especially after GungHo Entertainment’s release of Puzzle and Dragons which makes them a staggering amount of money by itself.
Back when it was announced that Trendy Entertainment was making a sequel to their hit tower defense style game Dungeon Defenders, everyone seemed pretty excited about a lot of the changes that would be arriving with this sequel. One of the big changes was that it would be a lot more like a MOBA style game than an action-based tower defense game like the original was.
