So word has been spreading over the last 48 hours about a remake for a Final Fantasy game called Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest by Dark Design Games which apparently had the support of Square Enix behind it. A lot of major websites have reported about this game coming next month, talking about pre-orders going live and people heading to the site to throw money at it. As it turns out, this remake is does not have Square Enix support and is probably a fake.

It isn’t often we get to report on a special move a character has from whatever franchise getting its own rhythm-based game. Actually, it has never happened until today. Ragna the Bloodedge from BlazBlue has a special attack called Dead Spike-san which has somehow become popular enough in itself to warrant a spin-off rhythm-based game called EatBeat DeadSpike-san.
The official Superbike World Championship game has arrived onto Google Play and there is a pretty unique offer exclusive to Android users. SBK14, as this official game is called, is a fully 3D rendered Superbike racing game that was developing in conjunction with Dorna WSBK Organization to “ensure an accurate representation of the white-knuckle Superbike racing style and offer the most realistic motorcycle racing experience on mobile“.
Esper is an upcoming game for the Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR which takes place in 1975. Since this is a Virtual Reality title, the entire perspective of this game is in first-person which is interesting because Esper is actually a puzzle game dealing with extra-sensory abilities.
Nitrome has developed some pretty solid and fun games as of late such as Gunbrick and Endless Doves to name a couple of them. Nitrome’s newest game, called Magic Touch: Wizard For Hire, has landed on Google Play today and just like the company’s past title, this one is also pretty solid and fun to play.
Spacetime Studios recently made news with the announcement that the company would be dropping development of some of their titles in their catalog of games. While these games will be remaining active, they just won’t be receiving updates with new content. In the original announcement regarding all of this, Spacetime Studios hinted at a new game that is on the horizon and today we finally get to talk about it. This new game is named Call of Champions and it is a MOBA but it isn’t your typical MOBA type of game.
Square Enix has partnered with Mediatonic (creators of Amateur Surgeon) to release a new game called Heavenstrike Rivals, that we already reported on previously. This game, designed by both companies with a single player campaign and multiplayer competition in mind, has just released a teaser video for those of us that don’t yet have access to the game; they’re currently in the middle of a soft launch with the global release scheduled for later this month.
Creative Mobile, the creators of racing game Nitro Nation, have released a sizable update for the game. For starters, there’s a new mechanic who can both create and upgrade blueprints. Upgrades now are done instantly, and at no cost. Repairs for blown engines are also instant, but continue to cost. And both of those no longer require a mechanic. Cars can also be traded in for one of the following three: cash, a booster package that’s random, or an upgrade kit for cars that are racing class.
