Breath of the Wild-esque RPG Genshin Impact Lands on Android

Genshin Impact, the hugely anticipated action-RPG that takes several leaves out of Breath of the Wild’s book in terms of presentation and gameplay, has arrived on the Google Play Store.

Developed by miHoYo, Genshin Impact sees you exploring Teyvat, a huge fantasy world. As in the classic Zelda instalment, you’re free to climb, swim, run, walk, and climb whenever you like – though not all environments will be immediately survivable.

The Google Play Store description promises an intriguing experience where secrets and story threads are littered around the world to be discovered.

Genshin Impact uses an elemental combat system, with those elements being Anemo, Electro, Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, Dendro, and Geo. These interact in different ways, rock-paper-scissors-style, and combat will involve choosing the right element for job.

Unlike Breath of the Wild, Genshin Impact also boasts co-op multiplayer, so you can explore Teyvat with friends across platforms, tackling bosses together and so on.

Genshin Impact is available on the Google Play Store right now. It’s a free download with IAPs.
