Sci-fi RPG Star Wars: Starfighter Missions Launches Across SE Asia

Star Wars: Starfighter Missions, the sci-fi RPG based on George Lucas’s little-known Star Wars franchise, has launched today in Korea, Japan, and a further 38 countries across South East Asia.

The game, which was made by Joymax in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, is described in the blurn as an “RPG-style mobile flight shooting game”. It’s inspired by iconic battles from the movies, almost certainly including the one where the Death Star exploded.

80 different starfighters are included in the game at launch, including the Millenium Falcon, Darth Vader’s TIE figher, and Luke Skywalker’s X-wing.

Players can assemble teams to suit their own personal space combat styles, with each Starfighter coming with its own unique skills. It’s possible to swap ships in and out during battle for maximum flexibility.

We’re not entirely sure when and whether Star Wars: Starfighter Missions will come to the West, but if you live in South East Asia and you like Star Wars this is your lucky day.
