Square Enix has released another trailer for NieR Reincarnation, its highly anticipated mobile NieR outing. Along with some gameplay details, the trailer confirms a launch date of February the 18th.
Directed by NieR creator Yoko Taro, NieR Reincarnation is a stylish RPG in which you play as a young girl who wakes up on a cold stone floor in a complex of vaulting, silent stone buildings. It looks a bit like Ico.
Guided by a mysterious creature called Mama, the girl sets off to work out what the hell is going on. This involves exploration and combat.
Gameplay-wise, NieR Reincarnation appears to consist of a variety of different elements, including 2D side-scrolling sections, 2.5D side-scrolling sections, and 3D battles. It looks pretty epic.
Unfortunately, there’s no word on when the game will be out in the west.
