Battlefield Mobile Regional Beta Launching Soon

Hot on the heels of the latest round of Apex Legends Mobile beta tests, another of EA’s multiplayer shooters is taking its first steps into the mobile gaming arena. That’s right, the first regional beta for Battlefield Mobile is launching soon.

This first part of the testing process for the game will only be available in Indonesia and the Philippines when it comes out in the not-too-distant-future, but more regions will be added as the test progresses.

The first phase of the beta will feature one map – Grand Bazaar – and one mode – Conquest. Although we imagine more will be added as time goes by and the scope of the test expands.

All of this has been revealed in a forum post that you can read by clicking here. The game is being developed by Industrial Toys, a team headed by ex-Bungie workers, that’s known for the sci-fi shooters Midnight Star and Midnight Star: Renegade. It was bought by EA in 2018.

Elsewhere in the forum post, it’s confirmed that there’ll be no cross play in Battlefield Mobile – this is purely a mobile game and won’t link up with the home and console versions of the game.

That about covers everything we know about Battlefield Mobile and its upcoming playtest. We’ll keep you updated as and when we hear more.
