Mattel163 has dropped a major update for UNO Wonder. It has added UNO Teams Mode to the mobile game, bringing the classic 2v2 version of UNO into UNO Wonder for the first time. The update is now available worldwide on the Android version of the game.

Gear up for UNO Teams

Instead of every player trying to beat everyone else, UNO Teams Mode splits the match into teams of two. You can jump in with a friend for proper co-op matches or play solo and get paired up with another player from around the world.

The update also introduces an entirely new red-versus-blue battlefield that’s specifically for team matches. Along with the arena comes an exclusive UNO Teams deck and several cards that only exist in this mode.

The biggest additions are the new Team Cards. Wild Team Play lets you choose the next colour and immediately hand the turn over to your teammate. If your teammate can’t make a move after receiving the turn, though, you’ll have to draw two cards yourself.

Then there’s the Wild Team Draw Four card, which works a little differently from the traditional version. Instead of forcing one unlucky player to grab four cards, each opponent draws two cards. So, the opposing team takes four cards altogether. The next player also loses their turn, and whoever played the card gets to decide the next colour.

Winning works differently, too, in UNO Teams. Your team doesn’t win just because one player empties their hand. Both teammates have to get rid of every single card before victory is awarded.

And if you don’t feel like jumping straight into online matches, there are UNO Teams levels in Journey. Those stages are playable both online and offline, so there’s no pressure of live competition. Meanwhile, Friends Room supports quick 2v2 matches.

So, grab UNO Wonder from the Google Play Store to check out the new Teams mode.
