Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG – What’s in the Trailer?

The trailer starts out in The Cat’s Tail – a tavern where Diona works as a bartender. Paimon flies by Prince – the cat who is somehow knowledgeable about your player level. The camera pans around as Paimon overlooks The Cat’s Tail tavern, with Teyvat residents sat at tables as they play Genius Invokation.

We then get a better look at the tavern as we spot Fischl, Diona, and Sucrose surrounding a table. Diona waves at us, as Aether walks towards the table before holding out an Elemental Dice.

We then get a cutscene showcasing the elemental dice on a table, followed by Noelle’s character card gliding into the middle of the screen. Following this, we see colourful animations of Collei, Xingqiu, and Ayaka as they use their abilities. The camera then zooms out to showcase more Character Card designs, as well as a sneak peek at some of the Equipment Cards.

The Gameplay

Diona then speaks to us directly with her usual sassy tone as she asks if we’ve arrived to learn Genius Invokation TCG with no cards. Fischl then walks into the scene to duel with Aether – followed by a showcase of the TCG gameplay. This gameplay snippet features the different Character Cards, some with their Dynamic Skins, and the elemental reactions.

We then get to see a few examples of the Monster Cards that we can add to our decks. During the Livestream, we found out that Dynamic Skins also include special bonus animations when performing skills – which we can see a little bit of in this trailer.
