Part of Sega’s Valentine’s Day sale was a game that currently looks to be location and carrier specific. Called Super Monkey Ball 2, this is a classic Sega game that appears to be heading to the Xperia Play soon thanks to information posted in Sony’s VIP Portal.
Dipping back into hardware related news for a moment, nVidia has stated that quad-core Tegra 3 Android phones will begin shipping this quarter. This fits pretty much right into the time frame mentioned back in mid- to late-2011 regarding Tegra 3 devices coming into the hands of consumers.
YoYo Games has partnered up with GetJar and their GetJar Gold service and is currently offering one of their games for free on there called Skydiver Drop Zone. This is the paid ad-free version which is available on the Android Market except this one is free with no-ads.
Fans of shumps (a.k.a shoot ’em up games) have another title to take a look at called X Fleet by Unlike Kinds. It certainly isn’t in the category of a bullet hell style game but it is a rather good looking space shooter that you can play on your Android device.
By now we have all heard about the Kickstarter Project for Double Fine Adventure by Tim Schafer and 2 Player Productions which has received, as of the time I’m writing this, close to $1.9 million in crowdfunding. This point-and-click adventure game now has a list of platforms it will be arriving on.
Following the tradition Gamevil seems to have created with releasing a new Zenonia game onto Android and then following it with a new Baseball Superstars title, Gamevil has just released Baseball Superstars 2012 onto the Android Market.
Back in September 2011 we reported on Rockstar Games and the fact they would be bringing Max Payne to mobile devices. We also confirmed that this does include Android as well as iOS back then. We now have a little more information about this topic.
We don’t usually post rumors and honestly this one is a bit farfetched but according to a supplier tipster that tipped off DigiTimes, Google is contacting hardware partners, encouraging them to consider new tablets and phones that will run Android 5.0.
You may remember last week that we were talking about an upcoming game that blend Minecraft mechanics with those of an FPS game called Brick Force. Well we have more news on just what the mobile version of the game will include.
