Fireproof Games is gearing up for the release of the third installment into their The Room franchise next week by starting up a public beta for Android gamers to sign up for. In a slightly interesting twist, when signing up for the beta on Android, you’ll have to pay for the game to participate in it should you get selected. When it officially launches next week, you’ll have access to the final version as well.

Sony’s press conference this year at CES 2016 is probably going to focus a lot on the company’s upcoming Virtual Reality headset, the Playstation VR. As for mobile related goodness, there is a possibility we could see a new Android device announced. I’m personally going to say that instead of a new Android device, we will probably hear more about additional second screen technology being developed for Sony’s Android devices.
One of the harder press conferences to get into in person at CES is the Samsung one. There’s always a ridiculous line that you have to wait in, sometimes for over an hour, just to make sure you get a seat. While that is what we have to do, even with our invite, you can chill at home or work and watch it right here live.
You’ll have to excuse us this morning, the weather here is Las Vegas has made the traffic a bit more terrible than it usually is and so we have been a bit late getting to the press conferences this morning. We barely made it in time for the LG one, and then ran to the Huawei conference as well. You can join in on watching the event with us, albeit using the live stream, but you’re there with us in spirit.
Good news for those of you wanting to grab an Oculus Rift headset the moment they become available. Pre-orders will be going live this week, or more specifically, in a couple of days. Snagging one of these headsets will also net you a few freebies that will come with it including two games: Eve: Valkyrie and Lucky’s Tale.
Each year at CES we get to sit down with our friends at Mad Catz to check out their newest offerings for the mobile gaming world. Last year it was the L.Y.N.X series of controllers, which are rather cool indeed. This year they will have those available as well as some new mobile goodies in the form of controllers specifically designed for Samsung smartphones and tablets.
This year Nvidia is holding their press conference tonight at 6PM PST, and you can watch it live in numerous places including right here. Last year’s press conference and overall show for Nvidia focused a lot on the automotive industry and Nvidia products for it. So what’s in store for this year?
Swap is a new indie game from developers by the name of Eutragon that features a kitten and bunny by the names of Squiggle and Butten. Players will control these two animals as they attempt to collect all the falling stars that are coming at them. Of course this is easier said than done as each animal is represented by their own unique color.
LG has debuted two new Android smartphones at CES this morning in a new series of devices dubbed the ‘K Series’. The company states that these new smartphones will feature many of the features their premium devices come with, but at a lower, more affordable price than their top tier phones. The first two devices in this new series are the K10 and the K7, both of which will be shown off during CES 2016.
A new skateboarding game is heading to Android soon simply called Skater. Unlike a lot of games in this genre, Skater focuses solely on three things, doing tricks, your shoes, and your board. Players have different skate parks and course that they can skate through with all the ramps, rails, and anything else you could want.
