There are gamers, hardcore gamers, and then there are the exclusive Ultra Gamers. If you constantly game everywhere and at anytime (wash your hands) then consider yourself the latter. As an Ultra Gamer your title isn’t complete without plastic peripherals. Unfortunately, game peripherals for mobile devices can be a bit lacking (with the exception of Nokia’s upcoming 9mm pocket friendly, n9xxx).
If it seems like we’re picking on Gameloft today out of pure hate, that isn’t the case. Gameloft games are top notch and most contain polish and work that rival console companies. With that being said, they’re just easy to pick on in terms of Android support.
Imagine this: Gameloft releases a brand new trailer for Modern Combat, Modern Combat 6: World War Space, and suddenly you find yourself brimming with sweat and your mouth strangely dry.The graphics induce uncontrollable eye twitching and that new gameplay mode renders your jaws grounded and mopping the floor (while knowing touchscreen control is terrible, but you’ll play it anyway).
Android gamers are a finicky bunch. With over 400,000 apps and games on the Android Market, it’s a challenge to sift through quality games. For every Angry Birds, there is an Angry Monkey, and Angry Frog. For every Doodle Jump, there’s a Droid Jump, Space Jump and Worm Jump.
It’s no secret that Gameloft likes to take liberty with inspiration when it comes to major triple A blockbuster games. Modern Combat, N.O.V.A., Backstab, Gangstar, 9mm, Order and Chaos, should be all familiar to those who own a PC or console for the past five years. This time Gameloft may have outdone themselves with Gameloft Live.

XDA developers Pavel M’s and FrIuNs port, CS Portable, allows up to 500 players and even features cross platform compatibility so Android players can frag and shoot at their PC counterparts.
Rockstar recently released a game this past winter from their little known franchise called Grand Theft Auto. Hide your children, hide your wife, Grand Theft Auto III has made its way from your living room television to your pocket in form of the Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Anniversary Edition.
