Can Raccoons Steal Favorited Fruits in Grow a Garden?
The short answer is no…but there’s more to it. Let’s talk about it.
What Does The Raccoon Do?
The Raccoon is one of the best pets available at the moment, and you can get one from a Night Egg with a 1% chance of it hatching. When you place it in your garden, every 15 minutes, it will go into another player’s garden and duplicate one of their crops, then give it to you.
Notice how it says duplicate? Duplicating is completely different from stealing. The Raccoon will simply ‘double’ a crop and hand it to you, with the original crop remaining in the player’s garden. Nothing is being stolen or lost.
What About Favorited Fruit?
Although the Raccoon won’t steal crops, it can duplicate a crop you have favorited. You can favorite a fruit by using the Favorite Tool. When used on a plant, a lock icon will appear on it, and you won’t be able to collect it.
However, the Raccoon can duplicate crops with this tool. In short terms, no, Raccoons do not steal crops. But, they can duplicate favorited crops. If this happens, don’t worry, you won’t lose anything!
For example, if I use the Favorite Tool on a Grape, a Raccoon can come along and duplicate it… But I’ll still have my Grape! It simply ‘doubles’ and another player gets one too. I won’t lose anything, so you don’t need to worry about a Raccoon swiping up your favorite crops and them disappearing.
