Do Some Mutations Decrease The Value Of Crops in Grow A Garden?

In short, no. There are no mutations that will decrease the value of your fruits. Therefore, you never have to worry about getting a crop that will lessen its original value.

What Are Mutations?

As I mentioned, mutations will increase the value of your crop by a certain amount depending on the mutation it has. Aside from bringing the value up, mutations will often change the cosmetic appearance of your crops, too.

Mutations can stack on top of each other, which will increase the overall value even more. If this happens, you can either leave it in your garden as a keepsake or sell it to make a huge profit.

How To Get Mutations

There are multiple ways to get mutated crops. Let’s go through them all below.

  • Weather events
    • This is the most common way to get mutations. During specific weather events, your crops will get mutations.
    • For example, during a Thunderstorm, your crops can obtain the Shocked mutation.
  • Pets
    • Some pets have a passive ability that gives your crop a mutation. You’ll need to have the pet roaming around in your garden for this to happen.
    • For example, the Bear Bee will give crops the Honey Glazed mutation.
  • Gear
    • There is some gear available that gives crops mutations. Similar to the Bear Bee, placing a Honey Sprinkler near crops can give them the Honey Glazed mutation.
  • Naturally
    • Some mutations occur naturally! Rainbow, Golden, and Oversized mutations all have the chance to happen by themselves.
