Fisch Emperor Jellyfish Guide
First I’ll talk you through what the Emperor Jellyfish is, and then how to catch one.
What Is An Emperor Jellyfish?
The Emperor Jellyfish is a mythical creature found lurking in the waters of the Desolate Deep. If you get lucky enough to hook one onto your rod, you’ll have to deal with the -75% progress speed decrease, which makes catching one even harder!
How To Catch One
Apart from needing to fish in the Desolate Deep, these creatures can only be found when it is raining. Luckily, they appear at any time and season! If you’re in a rush to catch one, you may want to think about using the Tempest Totem, which you can purchase for 2,000C$ on Terrapin Island. When using, it will make it rain on your server. Keep in mind that it is a one-time use, so it will disappear after.
Emperor Jellyfish love Magnets as bait, so make sure you attach some to your rod to increase your chances! You can get bait inside of Bait Crates, which you can purchase from most islands or fish up.
Speaking of rods, you’ll need one that can hold its weight. These creatures tend to weigh around 800kg+. However, your best bet is using rods that also prioritize luck to increase your chances. Here are some recommendations:
- Sunken Rod
- Being able to hold 5,000kg in weight, and giving you 150% luck, this is one of the best rods at the moment!
- You can find this rod inside Treasure Chests
- King’s Rod
- This rod can hold any weight and gives you an additional 55% luck boost. Even better? There is a 10% chance to reel fish that are 10% bigger!
- You can purchase the King’s Rod for 120,000C$ from Keepers Altar.
- No Life Rod
- The No Life Rod can hold any weight and gives an extremely generous 100% luck!
- When reaching level 500, you get this rod as a reward.
