About The Mustard
The Mustard is one of the three current entries in the Secret rarity, a new kind of fish introduced in the latest update. It uses largely the same model as the Pufferfish, but it’s a darker yellow color. One might even say mustard-like. It has a low weight, being always under 10kg. It also squeaks when we hold it. It doesn’t have a gameplay impact but we feel like it’s important.
How To Catch The Mustard
Like the Long Pike, the Mustard is found in the Ocean biome. This means more or less anywhere where the island indicators pop up on your HUD. While it’s easy to find a place where it theoretically does spawn, the chances of hooking one are pretty low. The higher your luck, the better your chances.
The temptation is to go all-in with your highest stat rod, but that might not always be the best option! The low weight of the Mustard means that high-weight rods might not be the best choice. Lower weight limit rods might be the way to go, as they rule out a lot of the heavier fish in the ocean.
The Mustard prefers the following conditions and bait, and appears most often with them in effect.
